Mimi Daly LarsonMimi Daly Larson joined Scholarship America in March of 2011, bringing with her more than 15 years of experience in all areas of marketing, communications and fundraising.

She came to Scholarship America from her role as Vice President of Marketing at Greater Twin Cities United Way where she held full responsibility for the marketing department of the largest social service organization in Minnesota. Prior to that she was Principal Consultant for Daly & Associates, where she has provided experienced and award-winning strategic marketing and development services to organizations, mostly nonprofits, for 10 years. Her specialties include leading strategic planning, managing organizational change, social media and online strategies, creating donor segmentation and engagement programs, and all brand management, public relations and marketing programs.

Mimi has served on Boards of several non-profit organizations and has done consulting projects for Boards, leadership teams, HR, community affairs, development and marketing departments in both the nonprofit and for profit sectors. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communications from Macalester College and a Mini-MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and currently serves on the board of a local non-profit. She is an active participant in local and national politics and has consulted on three political campaigns and served as campaign manager for two municipal races. She has also been a regular guest speaker on Marketing Strategy at the Carlson School of Management, and is engaged in several volunteer activities. She and her husband live in Burnsville with their four daughters.

The Dream Award

Dream Award Scholarship America’s Dream Award is a new multi-year, performance-based scholarship fund targeted toward completion. These renewable, annually-increasing awards will be given to students selected from across the nation who are entering their second year of education beyond high school.
