New Chapter of the Year
New Dollars for Scholars chapters face a unique mix of challenges, and represent an immense amount of hard work, excitement, and committment to students. For this reason, we've established a specific national award honoring the best New Chapter of the Year. This award is given only to chapters established in 2004-05 or later.
The New Chapter of the Year Award replaces the Golden Tassel Award, previously awarded to each year's top new chapter. (Previous winners of the Golden Tassel are encouraged to apply, provided they're still young enough!)
We will be accepting applications for the New Chapter of the Year Award through March 26, 2010. Regional New Chapter of the Year Awards will be given in each of the seven areas served by a Dollars for Scholars regional office, and we will also be giving one regional award to a volunteer in the areas served by the national office.
These eight winners will then be entered to win the National New Chapter of the Year Award, which comes with a $1,000 scholarship!
